Description
Unlike static filtering techniques, cross-flow filters are able to eliminate liquids with a relatively high turbidity content. This NW-SHW1 pre-filter comes with a silifos reservoir (approx. 140-150 g).
DO NOT USE FOR DRINKING WATER!
The use time varies and depends on various factors, such as water quality. The period of use finally ends when the silifos granules are exhausted. So the granules can be simply renewed by replacing.
The filter is simply mounted before the AquastStop of the dishwasher or washing machine.
Connectors: In/Out 3/4″ M.F : 26.2 mm (3/4 inch) internal thread, 26.2 mm (3/4 inch) external thread.
The polyphosphate charge supplied has an average life of approximately 6 months.
Head: loaded PP * Bowl: transparent SAN * O-ring: EPDM * Operating pressure: 7 bar max. * Operating temperature: 0°C. + 50°C min./max. * Maximum water hardness: 50°F (500 ppm CaCo3) * Flow rate 1000lt/h * Storage time max 12 months.
Warning: the treated water can be heated up to 75°-80°C, beyond this temperature the polyphosphate gradually loses effectiveness. * Refill: with 1.5kg approximately 10 times. *
Operation:
Phosphating does not refer to a softening in the real sense, but rather an in-solution-holding the curing agent. Through the use of polyphosphate, magnesium and calcium present in the water are stored in polyphosphate in a water-soluble complex. A welcome side effect is the corrosion protection of water pipes and even in the slow removal of existing scale.
